I’ve applied for many airlines, which one should I prepare for first?

So, you’ve read our post “How long in advance should I prepare ahead my first selection” and now you’re wondering which selection to prepare for first.

This is a valid question as of course, you want your efforts to be rewarded, and for that work on a specific target. Thing is, you never really know which one will contact you first. Sure, you may have an idea based on who seems to be interviewing the most, but your file could be coming up the pile with another airline for a reason only they know… and then what 

So the best answer to this question is to work generically for the first 3 months after you’re out of flight school. Doing that prepares you for any eventuality and builds your skill.

In the mean time, if your flight school hasn’t ran an Airline Selection Programme (ASP) course for you, enroll without delay for one. You could decide, at this stage, to do the 121 interview and the Sim later, or you may want to do everything just to stay current. It’s entirely up to you.
